From Stepantsminda, follow the Georgian Military Highway south towards Kobi. About 20 km from Kazbegi, turn off the main road at Kobi onto a dirt road leading to Truso Valley. The road to Kvemo Okrokana is unpaved and can be rough, especially after rain. From Kvemo Okrokana, the travertines are a 1.5-2 hour hike. Parking is available near the travertines.
