Soft classical music adds to the ambiance, enhancing the sense of wonder as you wander through the colossal caverns. The walking path leads you through a series of magnificent halls, and an optional boat ride along the underground river Kumi provides a thrilling conclusion to the tour. Prometheus Cave is not only a visual spectacle but also a site of paleontological significance. Fossils of ancient creatures, including cave bears, have been discovered within its depths. The cave also supports a unique ecosystem, home to various species of aquatic plants, insects, and invertebrates. In 2010, a statue was erected at the cave's exit to honor Giorgi Tkabladze, a local citizen who protected the cave from vandals for many years without compensation after the initial tourism development project was suspended due to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
