There is a parking area near the monastery where you can leave your vehicle.
Public Transportation

Start at the central bus station in Khevi where you can find marshrutkas (minibuses) heading toward Stepantsminda. The fare is typically around 2 GEL. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Old Shuamta Monastery Road. After about 15-20 minutes, ask the driver to let you off at the junction for Old Shuamta. From there, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along Old Shuamta Monastery Road to reach the monastery. Be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk, and ensure you have comfortable shoes.
Hiking
