Car

From Khevi, head southwest on the main road towards Vardzia. After approximately 25 kilometers, follow the signs for Khertvisi Fortress. You will take a right turn onto a smaller road that leads directly to the fortress. The drive takes about 30 minutes. There is a small parking area near the fortress.
Public Transportation

Take a marshrutka (minibus) from Khevi to Vardzia. These minibuses run frequently throughout the day. Once you reach Vardzia, you can either walk the remaining 5 kilometers to Khertvisi Fortress or negotiate a taxi to take you there. The marshrutka costs about 5 GEL per person, and the taxi may cost around 10-15 GEL depending on the negotiation.
