    Getting There

    Car

    Start in Khevi and head southwest on the main road (E117). Continue on E117 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for GHR8+M38. Turn left here and follow the road for another 5 kilometers. The fortress will be visible on a hilltop. Ensure your vehicle has good clearance as the road can be rough in places.

    Public Transportation

    From Khevi, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Bako. You will need to ask the driver to drop you off at the GHR8+M38 junction. The fare is usually around 2 GEL. Once you are dropped off, walk approximately 5 kilometers up the road towards the fortress. The path may be steep, so wear comfortable shoes.

    Hiking

    If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike from Khevi to Khikhani Fortress. Start at the center of Khevi and follow the signs for Bako. The hiking trail diverges from the main road after about 3 kilometers. This route is about 8 kilometers in total and can take around 2-3 hours. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way.
