Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Khevi, start by heading south on the main road towards Mtskheta. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Mtskheta. Follow the signs for Kvatakhevi, which will lead you to the road towards the Magalaant Church Complex. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you see a sign for Magalaant Church. The church complex is located just off the main road, and there is a small parking area available.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Magalaant Church Complex using public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Khevi to Mtskheta. This ride should take around 20-30 minutes. In Mtskheta, transfer to another marshrutka heading towards Kvatakhevi. This second leg of the journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Kvatakhevi, you may need to walk around 1 kilometer to reach the church complex. It is advisable to confirm with the driver or locals about the exact drop-off point for the closest access to the church. Ensure you have small change for fares, as drivers may not provide change.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous travelers, consider hiking to the Magalaant Church Complex. From Khevi, you can start your hike towards the nearby hills. There are trails leading from the village toward the church, offering scenic views of the surrounding area. The hike may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as the trails can be steep and rugged.
