Getting There

  • Foot

    From the center of Kutaisi, start at the main square, located near the White Bridge. Head northeast towards the main street, Rustaveli Street. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Tsereteli Street. Turn left onto Tsereteli Street. Walk for about 500 meters until you see the signs for Motsameta Monastery. Follow the signs which will guide you slightly uphill for another 1.5 kilometers. The monastery is located in Motsameta, and the stunning views will be visible as you approach.

    From the center of Kutaisi, head to the nearest bus station, which is located near the main square. Look for a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Motsameta.
