Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Rustavi, which is well-connected to other areas in Kvemo Kartli. Head southeast on the E117 highway towards Tbilisi. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards the village of Dashbashi. Follow the signs leading to Dashbashi Canyon. The exact coordinates for Dashbashi Canyon are 41.5848918 latitude and 44.1245855 longitude, which you can input into your GPS. Once you arrive in Dashbashi, look for local signage to guide you to the canyon entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, head to the Rustavi bus station where you can catch a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Tskhaltubo or a bus to Tbilisi. You need to disembark in the village of Dashbashi, which should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Dashbashi, you can either walk to the canyon, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus drop-off point, or you can hire a local taxi for a short ride to the canyon entrance. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can also hire a taxi from major towns in Kvemo Kartli such as Rustavi or Gori. The taxi ride to Dashbashi Canyon should take about 30 minutes from Rustavi. Make sure to negotiate the fare in advance, as taxis in Georgia often do not use meters.
