Car
If traveling by car, start by heading towards Tbilisi on the E60 highway (also known as the Tbilisi-Mtskheta road). Follow the signs for Tbilisi City Center. Once you approach Tbilisi, look for signs directing you to the Old Tbilisi area. You will eventually need to merge onto the A1 highway which leads directly into the city. As you enter the city, look for Freedom Square, located at 2 Freedom Square. There are several parking options around the square, but be aware that parking may incur fees ranging from 1 to 2 GEL per hour.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) from various locations in Kvemo Kartli to Tbilisi. Look for marshrutkas heading to Tbilisi, which typically depart from central locations in towns such as Rustavi or Marneuli. The fare is usually around 2 GEL. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Tbilisi (Didube or Samgori), you can take the metro or a taxi to reach Freedom Square. If you choose the metro, take Line 1 (the red line) and get off at the 'Liberty Square' station. From there, it's a short walk to 2 Freedom Square.
Taxi
Another option is to hire a taxi directly to Freedom Square. You can either book a taxi through a ride-hailing app or find taxis at designated taxi stands in Kvemo Kartli. The fare from locations like Rustavi to Tbilisi is approximately 30-50 GEL depending on traffic and the exact pick-up location. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
