If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Mtskheta city center. Head southwest on the main road (Tbilisi-Mtskheta road) toward Jvari Monastery. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Jvari Monastery. Turn left onto the road leading uphill. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area. There may be a small parking fee, so keep some Georgian Lari handy.

For those using public transportation, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) from Mtskheta city center to Jvari Monastery. Look for the marshrutka stop near the main square. Marshrutkas to Jvari Monastery run frequently, and the fare is typically around 1 Lari. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop, you will have a short uphill walk (approximately 500 meters) to reach the monastery entrance.
