To reach Vardzia Cavetown Viewpoint via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Akhaltsikhe towards Vardzia. Marshrutkas leave from the main bus station in Akhaltsikhe. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately 4 GEL. From the Vardzia bus stop, you can take a taxi to the viewpoint, which is approximately 5 km away. Confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.

If traveling by car, start from Akhaltsikhe and head southeast on E691 towards Vardzia. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards Vardzia/Cave City. Continue on this road until you reach the parking area near the Vardzia complex. From the parking area, drive about 5 km to the Vardzia Cavetown Viewpoint, located at GPS coordinates 41.3786582, 43.2836761. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

Walking
If you prefer walking from the Vardzia bus stop, follow the main road leading to the Vardzia complex. The walk is about 5 km and takes approximately 1 hour. Be mindful of traffic and stay on the side of the road. Alternatively, if walking from the Vardzia cave monastery, head south on the main road (E117) until you reach the Gogasheni turnoff. The viewpoint is approximately 7 kilometers away from the monastery entrance.
