If you are traveling by car, make your way to the town of Mestia, which serves as the main hub in Svaneti. From Mestia, head southeast on the road towards the village of Zhabeshi. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the sign for Green Lake. There will be a dirt road leading to the lake's parking area. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain as the last part of the road may not be paved.

To reach Green Lake via public transportation, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Mestia to Zhabeshi. These marshrutkas depart regularly from the central station in Mestia. The fare is around 5 GEL. Once you arrive in Zhabeshi, you can either walk to the lake (approximately a 1.5 km hike) or negotiate a price with a local taxi to take you directly to the lake. Hiking to the lake will involve navigating some uneven terrain.
