Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, head towards Mestia, the main town in Svaneti. From Mestia, follow the signs for Koruldi Lakes. The road may be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously. Once you reach the trailhead near the village of Tsvirmi, you can park your car there. The trail to Koruldi Lakes begins at the parking area and is approximately a 30-45 minute hike uphill.

Public Transportation

Take a marshrutka (minibus) from either Zugdidi or Tbilisi to Mestia. The journey takes about 7-8 hours from Zugdidi and around 15-20 hours from Tbilisi, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Mestia, you can either arrange a local taxi to take you to the Koruldi Lakes trailhead or join a guided tour that includes transportation. Expect to pay around 10-20 GEL for a taxi ride.

Hiking

After reaching the trailhead near Tsvirmi (if you arrived by car or taxi), begin your hike to Koruldi Lakes. The trail is well-marked, and you will ascend through beautiful landscapes. Ensure you wear sturdy hiking shoes and carry enough water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the route.
