Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Mestia, head south on the road towards the Svaneti Range. Follow the signs indicating 'Svaneti Range' and continue for about 12 kilometers. Once you reach the trailhead, park your car there as the road may become rougher. Ensure that you have a sturdy vehicle as some parts of the road might be unpaved.

From Mestia, take a shared minibus (marshrutka) headed towards Ushguli or the higher villages in Svaneti. The marshrutkas leave regularly from the central bus station in Mestia.
