After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach Zhabeshi. From Zhabeshi, take the road leading to the village of Ushguli. This road will take you through some beautiful landscapes and is well marked. Keep driving for about 1.5 hours until you reach the village of Ushguli. From Ushguli, continue on the road for another 15-20 minutes until you reach the parking area near Tabatskuri Lake. Be sure to have a GPS device or a reliable map as some parts of the roads may be challenging. Parking is usually free but check local signs.

For those using public transportation, start from Mestia and take a minibus (marshrutka) headed to Ushguli. This trip will take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
