Metro
If you are near the Metro station, take Line 1 (the red line) towards 'Varketili'. Get off at 'Liberty Square' station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the exit that leads to Shota Rustaveli Avenue. From Liberty Square, head north on Shota Rustaveli Avenue for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rustaveli Avenue and Agmashenebeli Avenue. Turn left onto Agmashenebeli Avenue and continue walking straight for another 800 meters until you reach Vakhtang Gorgasali Square.
Bus
Find a nearby bus stop and board any bus heading towards 'Old Tbilisi'. You can take Bus #37 or #20. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for 'Metekhi Bridge'. Once you get off, walk towards the bridge and cross it. After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you reach the square, which is directly ahead.

If you are already in the Old Tbilisi area, you can walk to Vakhtang Gorgasali Square. Start at the 'Narikala Fortress' and head downhill towards the 'Metekhi Church'. From there, walk along the riverbank until you see the Metekhi Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight; the square is just a short walk ahead.
