Walking
If you are in central Telavi, start at the main square, which is known as the Telavi City Park. From the park, head south towards the main street, Shota Rustaveli Avenue. Continue on this avenue until you reach the intersection with Gori Street. Turn right onto Gori Street and walk straight. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the bus station. From here, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Tbilisi. The ride should take around 30 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum, which is located at 7 Ivane Javakhishvili St in Tbilisi. Once you disembark, walk north for about 5 minutes, and you will find the museum on your left.

From your accommodation in Telavi, walk to the nearest bus stop where you can catch a marshrutka heading towards Tbilisi. The marshrutkas are usually stationed near major landmarks like the Telavi City Park. Confirm with the driver that they will stop near the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum or at 7 Ivane Javakhishvili Street. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Tbilisi, exit the marshrutka and navigate towards the museum by walking north for about 5 minutes. The museum will be on your left side.
