From Telavi, local buses and taxis are available to reach other destinations within Kakheti. Keep in mind that marshrutkas can be crowded and uncomfortable.

    Taxis are readily available in Tbilisi and can be hired for a direct trip to Kakheti. A taxi from Tbilisi International Airport to Kakheti (Telavi) costs around 127 GEL and takes approximately 2 hours and 9 minutes. A taxi from Tbilisi to Telavi is about $24-$30.
