From Tbilisi, take a minibus from Ortachala Bus Station to Kvareli. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes and costs around $4. From Kvareli, you can take a taxi to the base of Nekresi Monastery. From there, a shuttle bus (1 GEL return trip) takes visitors up the hill to the monastery from approximately mid-April to mid-December. Alternatively, you can walk up the steep path (approximately 20 minutes).
