Getting There

From Uplistsikhe, head southeast on E117 (also known as the Tbilisi-Zestaponi highway). Continue for about 8 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Khidistavi-Ateni road. Turn left onto the Khidistavi-Ateni-Boshuri road. Follow this road for approximately 6 kilometers. The Ateni Fortress will be on your right. Look for the signs indicating 'Ateni Fortress' as you approach.

From Uplistsikhe, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Gori from the Uplistsikhe bus stop. The fare is around 1 GEL. After about 15-20 minutes, get off at the Gori bus station.
