    From Gori, take a minibus (marshrutka) towards Kvakhvreli. These depart from the Gori Bus Station. The ride to Kvakhvreli, a village near Uplistsikhe, takes approximately 20 minutes and costs around 1 GEL. From Kvakhvreli, cross the large iron suspension bridge over the Mtkvari River and walk approximately 2.5 km to Uplistsikhe. Note that minibuses from Gori to Kvakhvreli run a few times a day without a specific schedule.

    From Gori, a taxi directly to Uplistsikhe costs approximately 35 GEL for a round trip, including wait time. The taxi ride takes about 12 minutes. Alternatively, take a minibus to Kvakhvreli for 1 GEL and then a taxi to Uplistsikhe.
