Getting There

• Walking

  Katschhof is easily accessible by foot from most locations in Aachen's city center. If you are near the Aachen Cathedral, exit the Cathedral and head towards the front entrance. From there, take a left out of the Cathedral square onto Katschhof. It is a short, approximately 2-minute walk straight ahead. From the main train station (Aachen Hbf), head southeast towards the city center, following signs to Aachen Cathedral (Dom). The walk will take around 20 minutes. As you approach the Cathedral, you will see Katschhof directly adjacent to it.

• Public Transport

  To reach Katschhof using public transportation, take a bus or train to Aachen's central station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, you can either walk to Katschhof (approximately 20 minutes) or take a bus to a stop closer to the square. Several bus lines pass near Katschhof, including lines 11, 21, 51, and 52. Get off at the 'Judengasse/Markt' stop, which is a 3-minute walk to Katschhof. A single bus fare within Aachen typically costs between €2 and €3.

• Parking

  If arriving by car, several parking garages are available in Aachen's city center. Consider parking at Q-Park Katschhof, which provides direct access to the square. Other options include the CONTIPARK Parkhaus Grosskölnstraße. Parking fees vary, with hourly rates typically ranging from €2 to €4. Daily rates can range from €10 to €20. Be aware of Aachen's low emission zone; only vehicles with a green sticker are allowed. Park + Ride options are available outside the zone, with bus connections to the city center for €5 for up to five people.
