Follow the signs for the city center, passing by various shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the Markt square, where you can see the Aachen Cathedral. From there, head northeast on Marktstraße, then turn left onto the Kaiserplatz. Continue on until you reach the intersection with Adalbertstraße. From here, you can take a bus or tram to Roermond, but it is recommended to check the schedules at the nearest bus stop. If you prefer to walk the entire distance, follow the signs for the 'Roermond' pedestrian pathway, which will take you to the border. The journey is approximately 45 minutes on foot.

From Aachen Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), purchase a ticket to Roermond at the ticket counter or kiosk. Board a train heading towards Roermond. The ride typically takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Roermond Station, exit the platform and follow the signs to the bus terminal. Take bus line 1 or 3 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Roermond Grote Kerkstraat.' From there, it's a short walk to Rattentoren located at Grote Kerkstraat 19.
