Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Ettal via the B2 road. From Garmisch-Partenkirchen, take the B2 towards Oberammergau. Continue straight until you reach the turnoff for Linderhof Palace, which is well-signposted. Follow the signs to Linderhof Palace (Schloss Linderhof) for approximately 10 minutes. Please note that there is a parking fee of around €6 for the day.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Oberammergau. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. From Oberammergau, you can catch a bus (Bus number 9622) directly to Linderhof Palace. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as it may vary, especially on weekends.
Walking from Bus Stop
If you are arriving by bus, the bus will drop you off at the entrance of Linderhof Palace. From the bus stop, it's just a short walk to the main entrance of the palace, which is about 300 meters away. Follow the path that leads you directly to the palace.
