Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Lindau, which is located on the eastern shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee). Use the A96 motorway and follow the signs towards Lindau. Once you reach Lindau, take exit 3 towards 'Insel Lindau'. Continue straight until you reach the city center. Follow the signs to 'Hafenplatz' where Neuer Lindauer Leuchtturm is located. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically ranging from €1 to €2 per hour.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take a train to Lindau Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From cities like Munich or Stuttgart, direct trains are available. Upon arrival at Lindau Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and follow the signs for the bus or walk straight towards the lakefront. If you prefer to take a bus, catch line 2 or 3 from the bus stop outside the train station that will take you to 'Hafenplatz'. The bus fare is approximately €2.50 one way.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the Lindau area or have just arrived via the train, walking to Neuer Lindauer Leuchtturm is also an option. From Lindau Hauptbahnhof, it is about a 15-20 minute walk. Exit the station and head straight towards the lake, following the signs towards the harbor (Hafen). As you approach the waterfront, you will see the iconic lighthouse (Leuchtturm) at Hafenplatz. The walk is scenic, offering views of the lake and the surrounding Alps.

• Bus

  For easier access, you may also consider taking a bus from nearby towns. Regular bus services connect to Lindau from surrounding areas such as Bregenz or Friedrichshafen. Check the local bus schedules for routes heading to 'Hafenplatz' in Lindau. The bus fare is generally around €2.50. Make sure to have cash on hand to pay for the fare.
