Getting There

If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Head southeast on B2 towards Mittenwald. After approximately 12 km, take the exit towards Zugspitze (follow signs for the Zugspitzbahn). Continue on the road for another 10 km until you reach the Zugspitze cable car station. Parking is available at the station, and the cost is around €5 per day.

For those using public transportation, take the regional train from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, transfer to the Zugspitzbahn (Zugspitze Railway) at the train station. The Zugspitzbahn will take you to Eibsee station. From there, you can take the Eibsee cable car to the summit of Zugspitze. A round trip ticket for the Zugspitzbahn and cable car costs approximately €60.
