Car
If you are driving from Regensburg, take the A93 motorway towards Hof. After about 20 km, take the exit onto B299 towards Bad Abbach. Continue on B299 for approximately 15 km until you reach Essing. Once in Essing, follow signs to 'Schulerloch'. The entrance is located at Am Schulerloch 1a, and parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach the Flowstone cave Schulerloch via public transport, start by taking a train from Regensburg Hauptbahnhof (main station) to the train station in Kehlheim. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Kehlheim, you can catch a bus (line 607) towards Essing, which operates regularly. Get off at the 'Essing, Schulerloch' stop, and from there it's a short walk to Am Schulerloch 1a where the cave is located.
Car
If you are coming from Landshut, take the A92 motorway towards Munich, then switch to the A9 towards Nuremberg. After about 50 km, take the exit onto A93 towards Regensburg. After approximately 30 km, take the exit onto B299 towards Bad Abbach and follow the same route into Essing as detailed above.
Public Transportation
From Ingolstadt, take a train to Regensburg. At Regensburg Hauptbahnhof, switch to a train heading to Kehlheim. Once you arrive at Kehlheim station, transfer to bus line 607 towards Essing. Disembark at 'Essing, Schulerloch' bus stop. The cave is a short walk from there, located at Am Schulerloch 1a.
