The Altstadt is easily walkable from most central Baden-Baden locations. From Leopoldsplatz, walk north towards the Stiftskirche. The Marktplatz is adjacent to the church. The entire area is pedestrian-friendly.

Public Transport

Several bus lines serve the Altstadt area. Take bus line 201 or 204 towards 'Baden-Baden Bahnhof' and get off at the 'Baden-Baden Altstadt' stop. Buses run every 20-30 minutes, and a single ticket costs around €2.60 for one zone. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the heart of the Altstadt.

Car

If driving, head towards the center of Baden-Baden and follow signs for Altstadt. There are several parking garages in the area, such as the Parkhaus am Festspielhaus and Citygarage. Expect to pay around €1.50 per hour for parking. Parking can be limited, especially during peak season.
