Stadtturm Baden: A Medieval Sentinel

The Stadtturm Baden, originally known as the Bruggerturm or Baderturm, is a prominent gate tower located in the old town of Baden, Switzerland. Its striking appearance, with its steep hipped roof covered in a rafter pattern with tiles in the city colors of black, red, and white, makes it instantly recognizable. The Stadtturm is a Swiss heritage site of national significance, and in 2008/09, the plasterwork was completely replaced with a purely mineral plaster coating, and the color scheme was historically adapted.
