    From the Neuschwanstein ticket center in Hohenschwangau, follow Neuschwansteinstraße uphill. The walk to the Cafe-Bistro at Neuschwanstein Castle is approximately 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) and takes around 30-40 minutes. The cafe is located at Neuschwansteinstraße 20, within the castle grounds.

  • Shuttle Bus

    From the Alpsee parking lot P4 in Hohenschwangau, take the shuttle bus uphill. The bus will drop you off near the Marienbrücke (Mary's Bridge). From there, it's a downhill walk of about 500 meters (10-15 minutes) to the castle entrance and the Cafe-Bistro. Shuttle bus tickets cost €3.50 uphill, €3.50 downhill, or €5.00 for a round trip. Please note that the shuttle bus service may be suspended in snowy or icy conditions.

  • Horse-Drawn Carriage

    Horse-drawn carriages depart from Hotel Müller on Alpseestraße in Hohenschwangau. The carriage will take you to a designated area below the castle, from which it is a 450-meter (10-15 minute) uphill walk to the entrance and the Cafe-Bistro. The uphill carriage ride costs €8, and the downhill ride costs €4.
