If driving from anywhere in the Bavarian Forest National Park, navigate to Weißenstein 16, 94209 Regen. Look for signs directing you toward Regen, then follow local signs to Weißenstein. Parking is available near the museum. Parking fees may apply.

From Regen, take bus line RUF 8212 towards Abtschlag, Kirchdorf i. Wald. Check the Fahrplan Guru website for the most up-to-date schedule. Get off at the stop Weissenstein Ort, Regen. From there it is a short walk to the museum. A single fare should cost approximately €2-€4.

From the center of Regen, follow the signs towards Weissenstein. The walk is approximately 3km and will take around 45 minutes. The route is mostly uphill. Once in Weissenstein, follow signs for the Burgruine Weissenstein. The museum is located at the foot of the castle ruins.
