Walking
From the Königssee lake, take a ferry to St. Bartholomä peninsula. From the St. Bartholomä landing stage, walk south along the shore for about one kilometer until you reach a bathing spot. Continue along the shore, then ascend for about 100 meters to reach the Schrainbach Waterfall. From the waterfall, a further 400-meter climb on the hiking trail will lead you to the Schrainbachhütte.
Public Transport
Arrive at Schönau am Königssee by bus or train. From Schönau, take a short bus ride to Königssee. At Königssee, purchase a round-trip ferry ticket to St. Bartholomä (€20-€25). From St. Bartholomä, follow the walking directions to Schrainbachalmhütte.
