Although swimming is allowed, the lake is quite cold, even in summer. Continue along the shore before the path ascends, climbing about 100 meters to the waterfall. The Schrainbach Waterfall plunges approximately 200 meters into the Königssee. From there, a further 400-meter climb will lead you to the Schrainbachhütte.
