    The Amazone zu Pferde is an outdoor bronze sculpture by Louis Tuaillon, installed in Tiergarten, Berlin. The statue represents an Amazon warrior on horseback. The sculpture depicts a young, lightly clad Amazon with her right breast exposed, holding a battle-axe in her right hand while sitting upright on a standing horse. The statue is a life-size bronze cast created between 1890 and 1895 in Rome. It was a surprise hit at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1895, catapulting Tuaillon to fame. The National Gallery acquired the work and put it on display in 1898. In 1903, the Berlin foundry Hermann Noack produced castings and reductions of the sculpture. Kaiser Wilhelm II commissioned an oversized cast to be erected in the Tiergarten. There is another statue named Amazone zu Pferde by August Kiss that is installed outside the Altes Museum in Berlin.
