Car
If you are driving from any location in Brandenburg, take the A10 Autobahn towards Berlin. Depending on your starting point, merge onto the A113 towards Berlin-Zentrum. Once you approach central Berlin, follow signs for the A100 and then take the exit for 'Mitte' towards the B96. Continue on B96 until you reach Hardenbergplatz. After arriving at Hardenbergplatz, you will find the Berlin Zoological Garden at Hardenbergpl. 8, 10787 Berlin. Parking is available nearby, but there may be a fee of approximately €2-4 per hour.
Public Transportation - Train
For those using public transportation, you can take a regional train (RE or S-Bahn) from various locations in Brandenburg to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). For example, if you are in Potsdam, take the S7 train directly to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. From there, transfer to the U-Bahn (subway) line U5 towards Hönow and get off at the station 'Zoo.' The Berlin Zoological Garden is a short walk from the U-Bahn station, approximately 5-10 minutes. Please note that a single ticket for the S-Bahn from Brandenburg to Berlin costs around €3.80.
Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a regional bus from locations in Brandenburg to Berlin. Check local schedules for routes that lead to Berlin's central bus station (ZOB). From the ZOB, you can take the U-Bahn line U2 towards Pankow and switch at 'Zoologischer Garten' station, which is right next to the Berlin Zoological Garden. A bus ticket typically costs about €3.80.
