From Köln Hauptbahnhof (Cologne Central Station), take tram line 5 towards 'Sülz, Piusstraße'. After 3 stops, get off at 'Heumarkt' station. From Heumarkt, walk towards the Rhine River. Cross the bridge over the river, and once you reach the other side, continue walking straight until you reach 'Am Leystapel'. The Malakoffturm is located at Am Leystapel, 50678 Köln, near the water's edge.

If you are near the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), head south towards the Rhine River. Once you reach the river, turn right and walk along the riverside promenade. Continue walking until you reach 'Am Leystapel'. The Malakoffturm is located directly on the riverfront at this address.

From the Neumarkt shopping area, take tram line 1 or 7 towards 'Bocklemünd' or 'Sülz' respectively. Get off at the 'Heumarkt' stop. After exiting the tram, head towards the river and walk along the promenade towards 'Am Leystapel'. Malakoffturm will be clearly visible along the river.
