Train
From Dresden, head to the main train station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof). Purchase a ticket to 'Kurort Rathen' on the S-Bahn (S1 line). The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Kurort Rathen, exit the train station and follow the signs towards the Bastei. You will see a steep path leading up to the Bastei Bridge. It takes about 30 minutes to walk up to the viewpoint, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Elbe River and the surrounding Saxon Switzerland.

Ferry and Hiking
From Dresden, take tram line 8 to 'Kleinzschachwitz' stop. Walk to the nearby ferry terminal and take the ferry across the Elbe River to 'Dohna'. After disembarking, follow the hiking trails towards Bastei. The hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, offering beautiful landscapes along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as some trails may be steep.

From Dresden, take bus line 294 from 'Dresden, Altmarkt' to 'Lohmen, Bastei'. This bus service runs several times a day and the journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the 'Lohmen, Bastei' stop, follow the signs leading to the Bastei, which is a short walk away.
