Tram
From Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 3 or 7 towards 'Weixdorf' or 'Schleifenweg'. Get off at the 'Postplatz' stop. From there, walk towards the Elbe River for about 5 minutes. You'll see the beautiful buildings of the Altstadt (Old Town) including the Frauenkirche. Continue straight until you reach Schlossplatz, which is right in front of the Dresden Castle.
Bus
If you're near the Albertplatz, you can take bus line 66 towards 'Dresden-Altstadt'. Get off at 'Schlossplatz' stop. You'll be right at the square, where you can explore the area and enjoy the historical architecture.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the Frauenkirche, simply walk towards the Elbe River, then head south along the riverbank for about 10 minutes. Cross the bridge at Augustusbrücke and continue straight. Schlossplatz will be on your left, directly in front of the Dresden Castle.
Bicycle
Dresden has a bike-sharing system. Rent a bike from any available station and head towards the Altstadt. Follow the bike paths along the Elbe River. You can park your bike at the designated areas around Schlossplatz, which is just a short ride away from the river.
