Public Transport
If you are starting in the city center, walk to the nearest tram station, which is 'Altmarkt/Galerie'. Take tram line 12 towards 'Gorbitz' and travel for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Pillnitz, Schloss'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Pillnitz Castle. Head east on August-Böckstiegel-Straße, and you will find the castle entrance on your left.

If you prefer to walk and are near the Elbe River, follow the riverbank heading southeast. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on your pace. As you walk, you will enjoy scenic views of the river and surrounding gardens. Once you reach the area of Pillnitz, look for August-Böckstiegel-Straße, where the castle is located at number 2.
