Getting There

  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you're starting at the main train station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof), head to the tram stop located right outside the station. Take tram line 3 (direction: Coschütz) or line 8 (direction: Jägerpark). You will need to travel for about 6 stops. Get off at 'Neumarkt' tram stop. From there, walk towards the Frauenkirche, which is a prominent landmark in the area. Continue walking straight, and you will reach the Residenzschloss (Royal Palace) where the Green Vault is located.

  • Walking

    If you're near the Elbe River, you can walk to SKD | Green Vault. Start at the Brühlsche Terrasse, a scenic promenade along the river. Walk towards the historic city center, heading towards the Frauenkirche. Once you reach the church, turn left and walk along the street (Neumarkt) until you see the Residenzschloss on your right. The entrance to the Green Vault is located within the palace.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the Altmarkt area, you can take bus line 94 from the Altmarkt stop. Ride for just one stop to 'Taschenberg'. After exiting the bus, head back towards Taschenberg street, and you will find the Residenzschloss right ahead. The SKD | Green Vault entrance is located inside the palace.

    If you have rented a bicycle, you can ride towards the city center. From the Elbe River, follow the bike paths that lead to the Altstadt (Old Town). Ride towards the Frauenkirche and then continue to the Residenzschloss. There are bike racks available where you can park your bicycle before entering the Green Vault.
