Getting There

Tram
If you are near the Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 1 or 2 towards 'Gorbitz' or 'Leuben' respectively. Get off at the 'Postplatz' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Residenzschloss. Head towards the direction of the Residenzschloss by walking straight along the 'Taschenberg' street until you reach the entrance.

Find a nearby bus stop and take bus line 94 or 66 towards 'Zschertnitz' or 'Rochwitz'. Disembark at 'Postplatz' stop. Walk straight along 'Taschenberg' street for about 5 minutes, and you'll arrive at the Residenzschloss. The entrance will be on your left.

If you are in the Altstadt area, simply walk towards Taschenberg 2. Look for the prominent building of Residenzschloss, which is easily identifiable. It usually takes about 10 minutes of walking from the Frauenkirche. Just head south on 'Neumarkt', take a left onto 'Taschenberg', and you will see the castle ahead.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services. From the city center, cycle towards 'Taschenberg' street. It will take you around 5-10 minutes to reach the Residenzschloss. Just follow the signposts for the Altstadt area.
