Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the city center of Mechernich. Head southeast on the B266 towards the direction of Euskirchen. Continue for about 5 kilometers, then take the exit towards Kallmuther Berg. Follow the signs for Kallmuther Berg and you will arrive at the nature preserve. There is usually parking available nearby, but be prepared for possible parking fees which may vary seasonally.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Kallmuther Berg using public transportation, take a train from Bonn or Cologne to Mechernich, which is well connected via regional trains (RB trains). Once you arrive at Mechernich station, you can either take a local bus (Bus Line 231) towards Kallmuther Berg or opt for a taxi. The bus ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes, and you may need a ticket which can be bought at the train station or via a mobile app. Make sure to check the local bus schedules ahead of time as they can vary, especially on weekends.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Mechernich and follow the scenic cycling paths to Kallmuther Berg.
