From Erfurt city center, walk to the main bus station (Erfurt Hauptbahnhof). Take bus line 12 towards Weimar. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Weimar, Busbahnhof' stop. From there, walk to Am Palais 3, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Head southeast on Buchenstraße towards Breite Straße, continue straight onto Am Palais, and you'll find the Dower Palace on your right.
Train
Make your way to Erfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Take the regional train (RE) towards Weimar, which typically departs every 30 minutes. The train ride lasts about 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Weimar station, exit the station and head southeast on Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight onto Buchenstraße, then turn right onto Am Palais to reach the Dower Palace at Am Palais 3.
Walking
If you are already in the city of Weimar, you can walk to the Dower Palace. From the city center (Markt), head east towards the Schillerstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Am Palais. Turn left and follow Am Palais for a short walk (about 10 minutes) until you reach your destination at Am Palais 3.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental stations in Erfurt. Cycle towards Weimar via the scenic bike path that runs parallel to the B85 road. The distance is about 20 kilometers and will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Weimar, follow the signs to the city center, and then head to Am Palais 3 to find the Dower Palace.
