Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center of Erfurt, start at Anger (the main shopping street). From Anger, head southeast towards the Fischmarkt. Once at Fischmarkt, continue walking until you reach the Cathedral of Erfurt (Erfurter Dom). After visiting the cathedral, exit towards the east and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Bischofstraße. Turn left onto Bischofstraße and walk until you reach the intersection with the Augustinerstraße. Turn right onto Augustinerstraße and continue straight. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the Wiesenstraße stop. Look for the tram stop and take tram line 2 towards 'Erfurt-Ilversgehofen' for about 5 stops, which will take you to the stop 'Weimar, ZOB'. From there, you can walk to Dower Palace, which is approximately a 15-minute walk away. Head south on Am Palais until you reach the palace at Am Palais 3.

    From Erfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take a regional train to Weimar. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Weimar Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal. Take bus line 1 towards 'Weimar, Goetheplatz'. Get off at the stop 'Weimar, Palais'. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Dower Palace. Head southwest on Am Palais until you reach Dower Palace at Am Palais 3.
