Public Transport
From Essen city center, take the S1 train towards Solingen. You can catch this train at Essen Hauptbahnhof (Essen Central Station). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Solingen Hauptbahnhof (Solingen Central Station). Once you arrive at Solingen Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head towards the bus station located right outside the train station.
Bus
At the bus station outside Solingen Hauptbahnhof, take bus number 681 towards Burg. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Burg', which is near the entrance to Burg Castle. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the castle entrance, following the signs for 'Schloß' (Castle).
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Solingen Hauptbahnhof, you can take a scenic route to Burg Castle. Exit the train station and head southwest on Röntgenstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Schloßstraße. Turn right onto Schloßstraße and follow it until you arrive at Burg Castle, which should take about 30-40 minutes.
