From Essen Hauptbahnhof (central train station), take the S-Bahn line S6 towards Düsseldorf. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. From there, follow the signs to the exit.

After exiting Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, walk to the nearby tram station located right outside the main entrance. Take tram line 701 towards 'Düsseldorf, ZOB'. Get off at the 'Königsallee' stop. From the tram stop, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Grabbeplatz. The Kunsthalle Düsseldorf will be on your left at Grabbepl. 4.

From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, head to the bus stop located in front of the train station. Take bus line 834 towards 'Düsseldorf, Flingern' and get off at 'Grabbeplatz'. The Kunsthalle Düsseldorf is just a short walk away, located at Grabbepl. 4.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, it is about a 20-minute walk from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof to Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. Exit the train station and head south on Worringer Str. towards Graf-Adolf-Platz. Continue onto Friedrichstraße and then turn left onto Grabbeplatz. The museum will be on your right.
