Train
From Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S1 train towards Düsseldorf. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof station. Once you arrive, exit the station and follow the signs for 'Stadtmitte' (City Center).
Tram
From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, walk to the tram stop located right outside the main entrance. Take tram line 707 towards 'Düsseldorf, Heinrich-Heine-Allee'. Travel for 2 stops and get off at 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee'. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Ratinger Tor. Head east on Heinrich-Heine-Allee, turn left onto Ratinger Straße, and continue straight until you reach Maximilian-Weyhe-Allee. The Ratinger Tor will be on your right.
Bus
From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, you can also take bus line 835 towards 'Düsseldorf, Schlechtstraße'. Get off at the 'Ratinger Tor' stop, which is just a short walk from the attraction. After getting off the bus, walk towards Maximilian-Weyhe-Allee and you will see Ratinger Tor ahead.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head southeast on Worringer Straße. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Maximilian-Weyhe-Allee. Turn right onto Maximilian-Weyhe-Allee and you will see Ratinger Tor just a short distance ahead.
