From Essen, head to Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station). You can easily reach it by walking from your accommodation or taking a local tram. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Wesel. Upon arriving at Wesel train station, exit the station and head east on Bahnhofstraße towards Weseler Allee. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Wesel Citadel.

Once you arrive in Wesel, ask the driver for the nearest stop to Wesel Citadel, which is a short walk from most bus stops.
