If you are driving from Bamberg, take the A70 highway towards Schweinfurt. After about 15 km, take exit 10 for B505 towards Scheßlitz. Continue on B505 for approximately 5 km until you reach Scheßlitz. Follow signs for Giechburg; the castle is located on Giechburg 1, 96110 Scheßlitz. Parking is available near the castle.

To reach Giechburg using public transportation, start by taking a regional train from Bamberg to Scheßlitz. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Scheßlitz station, exit and walk towards the bus stop. Take bus line 910 towards 'Giechburg' and get off at the Giechburg stop. The castle is a short walk from the bus stop. If you prefer to walk from Scheßlitz, exit the train station and follow the signs towards Giechburg. The walk is approximately 3 km and takes about 40 minutes. The path leads you up a hill; be prepared for a moderately steep incline. Wear comfortable footwear as the terrain can be uneven.
