If you're traveling by car, make your way to the A73 motorway. Take the exit toward B299 and follow the signs for Gößweinstein. After about 15 km, turn right onto Burgstraße. The castle will be on your left at Burgstraße 30, 91327 Gößweinstein. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Gößweinstein using public transportation, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Bamberg or Bayreuth. From either station, you can catch a regional bus (Bus number 221 from Bamberg or Bus number 362 from Bayreuth) that goes directly to Gößweinstein. The bus will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Gößweinstein bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to the castle located at Burgstraße 30. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time for any potential changes.
