If you are driving, start from the center of Bamberg. Head south on A73 towards Forchheim. Take exit 13 towards Ebermannstadt/Wiesenttal and merge onto B470. Continue on B470 until you reach Wiesenttal. Follow the signs to Schönsteinhöhle. There is parking available nearby, but make sure to check for any parking fees which may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Schönsteinhöhle via public transportation from Bamberg, take the regional train (RE) to Ebermannstadt. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ebermannstadt station, transfer to bus line 203 towards Wiesenttal. Get off at the stop 'Wiesenttal, Schönsteinhöhle'. Buses run approximately every hour, so be sure to check the latest schedule. A single ticket for the bus costs around €2.50.
