From Würzburg city center, take bus line 9 (Kulturlinie) directly to the 'Schönborntor' stop at Marienberg Fortress. This bus operates from April to early November. Walking
A scenic walking path leads to the fortress from St. Burkard church or via the Tellsteige steps, starting near the Old Main Bridge (Alte Mainbrücke). The uphill walk takes approximately 20-25 minutes. Note that the path is steep in sections.
