From the center of Franconian Switzerland, head towards Ahorntal. Use the B299 road heading towards Ahorntal. After approximately 20 km, you will arrive in Ahorntal. Look for signs directing you to Ludwigshöhle. The cave is located a short distance from the village center, approximately 3 km away. Follow the signs, and park in the designated parking area near the entrance.

If you are using public transport, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Bayreuth. From Bayreuth, take a bus (line 360) towards Ahorntal. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Ahorntal stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to reach Ludwigshöhle. Follow the walking path signs that lead to the cave.
